Why use the Rivergreenway?
The Rivergreenway offers natural vistas and scenic overlooks in an
urban environment It provides a beautiful recreational and historical
experience for joggers, walkers, skaters, and cyclists. It provides a
blend of country and city settings that give users the ability to enjoy
both. Greenways enhance a sense of community among people
and neighborhoods. They support economic development and
increase property values. Greenways increase tourism and add to
the character and vitality of our community. The trails provide
opportunities to improve one's health and fitness, and provide
alternative modes of transportation.

Fort Wayne Trails is a collaborative effort to improve
interconnected multi-use trails.
Once funding is received for seven miles of trails—at $60 per foot or $150 per
step—a 40-mile network of trails will connect the Rivergreenway to the
western Allen County line.
