About Us
The Greenway Consortium is a volunteer group dedicated to the continuous
development of the Greenway trails.  These trails are intended to provide
pathways to connect our communities with the natural wonders in our area.
Mission Statement
To advocate and assist in the extension, improvement, and maintenance of the
trails, providing safe recreation and alternative transportation.
Why use the Rivergreenway?
The Rivergreenway offers natural vistas and scenic overlooks in an urban
environment  It provides a beautiful recreational and historical experience for
joggers, walkers, skaters, and cyclists.  It provides a blend of country and city
settings that give users the ability to enjoy both.  Greenways enhance a sense of
community among people and neighborhoods.  They support economic
development and increase property values.  Greenways increase tourism and
add to the character and vitality of our community.  The trails provide
opportunities to improve one's health and fitness, and provide alternative modes
of transportation.
